Rolf K. Haarstad, AIA named winner in ASHE's “The Built Environment for Healthcare Industry Innovation Program"
CRGA's Rolf K. Haarstad, AIA was honored at this year's American Society for Healthcare Engineering (ASHE) PDC Summit in Nashville, Tennessee as one of 16 winners in “The Built Environment for Healthcare Industry Innovation Program."
His entry, “Entropy and the Exploding Hospital,” explores a future of healthcare dispersed from the public realm of institutional space to the scattered private realm of personal space—a space defined by social connections rather than bricks and mortar. In his essay, Rolf discusses how such innovation could very well point to a future of (most) healthcare being delivered without dedicated buildings. Congratulations, Rolf!
