About the Project

CRGA Design partnered with Luminis Health Anne Arundel Medical Center to design a start-of-the-art Cardiac Catheterization Lab that provides the latest in technology and innovation to optimize patient care. Our team worked with Luminis Health’s multi-disciplinary team of clinicians and vendors resulting in a design that is flexible for the needs of both the Interventional Radiology and Cardiac Surgical Services teams. The project consolidated two smaller procedure rooms into one large suite including multi-specialty interventional procedure room, control room, systems equipment room, and medical storage room. The team partnered with our vendors to provide multiple vantage points of monitors throughout the procedure and control rooms to view the real-time 3D visualization during procedures. The large control space offers optimal collaboration between the different specialties that plan to use the interventional imaging room.

CRGA Design and our consultants navigated the challenges of the site to create an independent sub-structure to allow this innovative ceiling hanging equipment to be installed in a room directly below the roof and maintain the stringent deflection criteria. We are confident that the design provides an innovative and efficient procedure environment to support the staff to provide the best patient care possible.
